photographie-irie > Currency Exchange Lady, Vietnamese Border, Vietnam

In route by bus from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). The big, officious border crossing made it a point that we were heading into a communist country. Despite doubts, the crossing was efficient and easy, with this lady waiting on the other side to offer currency exchange. No want money, no problem. Still offered friendly conversation and huge smile that would set my standard for two months in Vietnam. I heard various takes from different people, but for me and folks I travelled with, no place could have been more friendly, vibrant and exotic at the same time. I am going back.
